Best Time to Visit Victoria Falls
- If you are looking to see the Victoria Falls at full capacity with mist spraying up to 1300 feet above the falls then February and March are the times to go. There is a risk of not seeing the falls from ground level due to all the mist. It may be hot and humid during this time, often with sporadic thunderstorms and/or dramatic rainfalls. You’re going to get WET!!
- April to June: The weather starts to cool, and sporadic thunderstorms and dramatic rains are less common. The mist may still be high but are more likely to see the falls from ground level.
- July is the best time to see the infamous lunar rainbow even though the falls are not at their peak.
- August through January is the drier season where the flow over Victoria Falls is minimal. During this time take advantage of white-water rafting, devils pool, or birding.
Entry Requirements
- Passport: 6-month validity on your passport with at least 2 blank pages

- VISA: required at port of entry
Make sure to have cash as their credit card machines likely won’t work- If adding on Devils Pool, may need an additional VISA for Zambia.
- Vaccinations: Yellow fever if coming from an endemic area
